Villages can request the aid from the Peace Guards by lighting a device on a high point. It will create a plume of blue smoke. If a roaming patrol is nearby, they will come to the village's aid.
The Peace Guards are easy to recognize by all citizens due to the prominent badges they carry with them at all times.
